Tihana Picot - QLD - Youth B Female - Boulder
My name is Tihana Picot, and I am a climber from the Gold Coast. I found my passion when I began indoor climbing at age 10, however, I only began competition climbing at age 13, and have enjoyed the challenges and the achievements ever since.
My home gym is Core climbing in Carrara; however, to be my very best, I have also committed to travelling to Brisbane three times a week, to climb at Urban Climb to further my ability and overall approach.
My drive to continue competing happened by accident when I won several social competitions and then unexpectedly won my is 1st QLD State Lead Title. Ever since, I have continued to strive for personal improvement and have won my first national title.
What I enjoy most about climbing is the mixture of physical and mental challenges, from the problem solving to dynamic movement and I’ve been privileged to enjoy the support and encouragement of the climbing community.
I can’t wait to compete in my first ever international championship in Seoul, South Korea as part of the Australian Youth Team. I am looking forward to this opportunity and I can’t wait to learn and develop my skills further.
