Roxy Perry

My name is Roxy Madison Perry but you can call me Rox or Rocks.

I started climbing when I was about 7 or 8, my dad introduced me to the sport and I was instantly addicted. I caught on to the competition scene in late 2010 and since then have qualified to be on the Australian Climbing Team for 6 years running. The journey has been pretty magnificent so far. I’ve been intently watching my own climbing go from zero to.. kinda okay (always, always, always room for improvement) and seen the sport of climbing grow and develop in Australia.

My home gym is Rock It Climbing in Tasmania. Tassie has by far pushed it’s way back onto the Aus climbing scene and I’m proud to say that I coach most of the young guns that are leading us to the top. I coach 7 classes a week and teach private lessons. My climbing world is very exciting and very busy! If I’m not climbing or coaching I enjoy painting and drawing, art being a second passion.

I am happily sponsored and supported by Wall Toys, Rock It Climbing and Friction Addiction.

I am super excited to see where this year takes me. I will be competing in 2 Lead World Cups and the World Championships which has been a goal of mine for many years now. I am not sure where climbing will take me, but I am sure that I possess the drive and integrity to see goals realised through my passion for the sport that is rock climbing. It’s a privilege and an honour to represent my country in the sport I am so passionate about.
