Hi, my name is Hugo. I have been climbing since I was 11 years old, after some friends took my family outdoor rock climbing in the Blue Mountains, since then I have fallen in love with the sport, both the outdoor climbing and the competition side.

I get around to multiple gyms around Sydney to train, so that I always have fresh routes and fresh problems to work on. I also have a job doing route setting at a couple gyms in Sydney. I enjoy route setting and find it helps me with my own climbing, as I learn to understand moves better and when I go into a competition I am able to have a better understanding of the route setter's intention.

This year at the Youth World Championships my goal is to make semi finals in Lead and Bouldering, and I am training hard to make it happen.
