Climbing members:
- Have the right to receive notice, attend, and vote at their Member State Annual General Meetings
- Are bound but also protected by all Rules, Policies and regulations of Sport Climbing Australia and the Member State they hold membership with
- Access to all SCA activities organised by their State of affiliation and all other states
- Participate in State competitions in their State of affiliation, all other states and National level competitions
- Receive and Maintain any type of official SCA State Level certifications
- Receive official state communication from their member state and national communications
- Be a route setter or head route setter at official State and National Level Competitions
- Be a Jury President or Head Judge at official State and National Level Competitions
- Offers eligibility to become part of the Australian Climbing Team (see selection criteria for details)
- Offers eligibility to purchase an International License with the IFSC
You will support:
- The actions of your state committee (regional events, state team, seminars...)

Types of membership
National Member: National Membership includes the state membership: allows participation in all SCA events around Australia. National membership is necessary to participate in National, Continental and International SCA and IFSC events and to participate in National training camps. National members have full voting rights if aged over 15.
State Member: Gives you access to State and Regional events conducted by the SCA State body in the state of your selected membership. State members have full voting rights if aged over 15.

Account and email Address
Each membership account needs to be set up with a different email as it will be your login. For parents who are members and want their children to also become members, if their children do NOT have their own email address you have the following options:
- use another email
- create a new email (you can forward all emails to your usual email address if you do not wish to use the new one on a regular basis)
- use email aliases -> as an example in google mail:
- Parent email address (for John Smith) : john@gmail.com
- Child email address to use when joining (for Jane Smith): john+jane@gmail.com
- gmail will automatically send all emails to john@gmail.com
