Sport Climbing Australia is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Team Administrator of the

Australian Climbing Team. This is a volunteer position involving the organisation and administration of the Australian Climbing Team.

Position Description

As Team Administrator, you will be responsible for:

Open and Youth Team

  • Registration of the Australian Team members to international events (including licenses for athletes and fees)
  • Coordinate training camps (schedule, infopack, communication) with the High-Performance Administrator
  • Maintaining good communication between SCA, the team, the coaches and parents of the youth team
  • Collect Team information

World Youth Championships

  • Distribution of documentation in the lead up to the World Youth Championships
  • Organisation of travel documentation for the team
  • Transportation, logistics and accommodation when overseas
  • Coordinate and delegate management roles to parents and guardians who will be accompanying the team
  • Ensuring that Team members are aware of their financial and social responsibilities while overseas
  • Liase with the board on team travel policy & arrangements

You will work in collaboration with the SCA Executive Officer.

Position Requirements

  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of the International circuit and basic understanding of competition rules
  • Excellent organisation skills (experience in group travel)
  • Working with children check

This is a one year position. The Team Administrator reports to the Coaching Manager and the SCA board.
